Here are some of the not-so-common simple to use excel tips:
  1. Double click the format painter to format multiple cells in one go.
  2. Double click any ribbon tab to expand or collapse the ribbon.
  3. Use group and ungroup feature when you don’t want to hide your columns or rows.
  4. Use control and asterisk (*) to select a range instead of using mouse and arrows.
  5. Drag the cells to move your data instead of using copy/cut and paste.
  6. Use Alt Enter in a cell to create a new row within the open cell
  7. Use Alt Q to use Microsoft Search to quickly locate Excel tools
