That depends upon your job profile. But yes, MS-EXCEL is widespread and is used in almost every office irrespective of the nature of business. Not learning excel is not a favorable career decision. I also keep receiving calls to visit Singapore or Dubai to teach Microsoft Excel apart from calls from Indian cities.

This is because if you are Excel smart, you can become more productive and useful for your organization than your fellow colleagues who don't know excel. Some of the job interviews are purely based on Excel knowledge because of that kind of job profile where Excel is used extensively.
