We began our evening at Kafe Fontana .

where Mr. Rishabh Jain welcomed us with genuine warmth. 

He not only shared insider insights about the hotel’s storied legacy but also went the extra mile to secure our reservation at Masala Art restaurant. 

To top it off, he captured candid photos of us and spent nearly half an hour ensuring every detail was perfect, transforming a simple visit into an unforgettable hospitality experience.

Next Stop, Orient Express French Restaurant: Where Taj Palace Hotel Meets Legendary Dining

This bar-cum-restaurant channels the mystique of the legendary Orient Express train, which traversed Europe for over a century, transporting diplomats, duchesses, courtesans, private eyes, and spies in regal splendor. 

Polished wood paneling, brass fixtures, and plush velvet seating evoke the opulence of a first-class dining car. 

The Orient Express legacy goes beyond its rails into literary lore, immortalized in Agatha Christie’s suspenseful mysteries and Ian Fleming’s espionage thrillers. 

As you savor each bite, you’ll feel the thrill of clandestine rendezvous and high-society intrigue that defined an era. Whether you’re a history buff, a literature aficionado, or simply seeking an unforgettable dining experience in New Delhi, the Orient Express French restaurant promises an immersive blend of flavor and legend.

We also visited Taj Khazana, the hotel’s luxury lifestyle boutique, where exquisite artifacts and collectibles handcrafted by India’s master artisans are on display.

After that, we explored Taj Palace further by visiting its other restaurants—Blue Gingerand The Blue Bar.

The perfect evening weather had us lingering for nearly forty minutes amid the lush greenery of the Tea Lounge, just steps from the nine-hole mini golf course and the swimming pool.

A grand piano stands in the Tea Lounge, where in the evening a musician performs live to delight guests.

We also toured the Jehangir wedding and conference halls and wandered through the open-air party lawns of Raja Bagh and Rani Bagh.

Masala Art: Authentic North Indian & Hyderabadi Specialties

At 7:50 PM IST, we arrived at Masala Art—the acclaimed North Indian & Hyderabadi restaurant at Taj Palace New Delhi—for our formal dinner.

Mr. Amit Kumar, the courteous restaurant supervisor, expertly guided us through the menu selection. 

Also, thanks to Masala Art’s interactive kitchen concept, we chatted live with Chef Mahavir and Chef Nitesh as they prepared our specialties.

On the recommendation of Chefs Mahavir and Nitesh at Masala Art, Taj Palace New Delhi, we indulged in signature North Indian dishes—pudina paratha, Amritsari kulcha, bharwan kulcha, and paneer tawa masala—alongside the Hyderabadi specialty katliyan aloo.

At Masala Art, our evening concluded on a high note: after thanking the restaurant team with a generous tip, they surprised us with a complimentary Chena Pais dessert, meetha paan, and an assortment of saunf and supari.

With hearts full of fond memories, we bid farewell to the opulent Taj Palace, bringing our unforgettable journey to a close.
